Anger Management for Humans

Facilitator:   The AVACA Wisdom Institute  -  Guest speaker: Jennie Lake
Hosted by:   The San Francisco City Employee Assistance Program
Time:           12:00 to 1:00 PM
Dates:          Wednesdays, July 22, 29, August 5, 12
This is a four-session / four-hour class.

This class is founded on the wisdom that it is our unquestioned thoughts that get in the way of our true happiness. It is therefore our thinking regarding fear, insecurity, needing approval from others, and so on, that is the basis for anger, violence and self-destructive behavior. When we begin to stop our belief that thoughts are reality, and learn to see what true reality is, positive change happens. Come see for yourself what it is like to be a Happy Human.

Stressing Out is Optional

Facilitator:   The AVACA Wisdom Institute  -  Guest Speaker: Jennie Lake
Hosted by:   The San Francisco City Employee Assistance Program
Time:           12:00 to 1:00 PM
Dates:          Wednesdays, September 2, 9, and 16
This is a three-session / three-hour class.

In today’s fast-paced workplace, the amount of stress you experience on the job is often directly linked to your job satisfaction, productivity, and sense of well-being. Budget cuts, lay-offs, as well as the rapid changes being made in almost every department can create a very stressful environment to work in. Fortunately, a better understanding of how to deal with these issues is at hand. This class will provide the tools needed to navigate through these changes, allowing for a lower stress level.
